Introduction

Signlo is a global, inclusive space for deaf and sign language users. Use only sign language, respect all, and avoid harm. Non-sign-language content or violations lead to warnings or bans.

Signlo unites deaf and sign language users worldwide for social networking, dating, and hosting. These rules ensure safety and respect.

Rules

  • Sign Language Only:All content must be in sign language (e.g., ASL, BSL, JSL). Text-only posts (e.g., “Join my event”) or audio clips (e.g., spoken ads) are banned—immediate suspension applies
  • Respect:No harassment, hate, or discrimination based on sign language (e.g., mocking Auslan), deaf identity, gender, or culture
  • Boundaries:No public nudity or sexual content (e.g., explicit ASL dating videos); private chats require consent
  • No Violence:Avoid gore, threats, or self-harm content (e.g., violent BSL skits)
  • Personal Use:No ads or soliciting outside Signlo’s business feature (e.g., no “buy my JSL book” posts)
  • Authenticity: No fake profiles or impersonation (e.g., pretending to know ASL).
  • Adults Only: 18+ only; no unaccompanied minor images (e.g., child’s ASL video).
  • Legality: No illegal acts (e.g., drug sales via sign language).
  • One Account: One per user.
  • Your Content:Post only what you own or have permission for (e.g., your ASL event clip).

    • Examples

  • OK:BSL video inviting friends to a deaf meetup
  • Not OK:ext-only dating bio or audio business pitch

    • Reporting

  • Use the app’s “Report” button with a sign language explanation. We review confidentially and act (e.g., content removal, bans).

    • Consequences

  • First offense:Warning via sign language video.
  • Severe/repeated (e.g., text use):Immediate ban, no refund
